Mechanical Maintenance Engineer - £48,000 - Liverpool Street
Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Location: Liverpool Street, London
Salary: £48,000 per annum + £100 Call Out Allowance
Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00–16:00 and 10:00–19:00 (rotating shifts)
On-Call: 1 in 3 (with £100 allowance per call out)
The Role:
We are looking for a fully qualified Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Liverpool Street. You will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on a wide range of mechanical systems, while supporting building services operations to ensure the site runs smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor mechanical plant
Pumps, Motors, Seals, Bearings
Air Conditioning - Air Handling Units / Fan Coil Units (Filter changes, cleaning)
Water Treatment (Temperature checks / Not dosing)
Plumbing - Unblocking toilets, replacing taps, washers etc
Monitor the BMS systems.
Basic electrical duties (Lamp changes etc)
General building fabric
Escort specialist subcontractors
Requirements:
Fully qualified in mechanical engineering (City & Guilds/NVQ or equivalent).
Experience in mechanical building services or facilities maintenance.
Strong fault-finding skills and proactive problem solver.
Able to work independently as well as in a small team.
