We're working with a welcoming secondary school in the South Bristol area of Bristol that's looking to appoint a full-time Teaching Assistant to join their team.

This is an opportunity for someone who genuinely enjoys supporting young people and wants to be part of a school where kindness, consistency and strong relationships sit at the heart of everyday life. The school is keen to appoint someone on a full-time basis and, for the right person, there is a clear pathway to a permanent role.

They're looking for someone warm, calm and resilient, who believes every young person deserves the opportunity to thrive, regardless of their background or starting point.

The School

This secondary school serves a diverse local community and is built on a strong culture of inclusion, respect and opportunity. Staff work hard to create an environment where pupils feel safe, valued and ready to learn, with high expectations balanced by genuine care and understanding.

Relationships matter here. Students are encouraged to have a voice, staff work collaboratively, and there is a real commitment to helping every young person succeed both academically and personally.

Like many schools, the setting has faced challenges and continues to evolve. What's encouraging is the openness, ambition and determination shown by leaders and staff. There is a clear focus on continuous improvement, consistency and creating the best possible experience for students and employees alike.

For support staff, this means joining a school that values teamwork, welcomes new ideas and recognises the difference great adults can make in a young person's life.

About the Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you'll work alongside teachers and pastoral staff to help pupils engage with learning, build confidence and achieve their potential.

Support may take place in the classroom, within small intervention groups or on a one-to-one basis, including working with pupils who require additional support.
