ANZUK Education is currently recruiting dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant's to work across a range of supportive and inclusive schools in Bristol. Whether you have previous experience or are looking to start your career in SEN education, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities of an SEND Teaching Assistant:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with a range of SEN, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH)
* Assist class teachers in planning and delivering tailored lessons that meet individual needs and EHCP targets
* Encourage the development of social and emotional skills through positive relationships and consistent routines
* Contribute to behaviour management strategies and help maintain a calm, structured learning environment
* Work collaboratively with SENCOs, teachers, and other support staff to implement effective interventions and strategies
What We’re Looking For in a SEND Teaching Assistant:
* A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
* Experience working with children with SEND in a school or care setting is highly desirable
* Strong communication, patience, and empathy
* The ability to remain calm under pressure and manage challenging behaviours positively
* Flexible, proactive, and reliable attitude
* Teaching Assistant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3) are an advantage but not essential
