About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school in Accrington. This is a full-time position, ideal for someone passionate about supporting children’s learning and development.
You will work closely with class teachers to provide high-quality support to pupils, helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment where all children can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons
Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils
Assist with planning and preparing classroom resources
Encourage pupil participation and promote positive behaviour
Support pupils with varying abilities, including SEND where required
Help monitor and track pupil progress
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Experience working in a primary school, ideally within KS2
A passion for education and supporting children’s development
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Patience, flexibility, and a proactive approach
Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent – desirable)
