Contract: Full-time / Term-time only
Salary: 92.63- 100 (dependent on experience)
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school community in Thrapston. This role involves working closely with pupils who may display challenging behaviour, helping them engage positively with learning and develop essential social and emotional skills.
Key Responsibilities
Support pupils with behavioural, emotional, and social needs (SEMH)
Implement behaviour management strategies consistently
Build strong, positive relationships with students
Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons
Provide 1:1 and small group support
Monitor and record student progress and behaviour
Promote a safe, inclusive, and structured learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Experience working with children or young people (school, care, or youth work setting)
Strong behaviour management skills
Patience, empathy, and resilience
Ability to remain calm under pressure
A proactive and flexible approach
Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, Team Teach – desirable but not essential)
