An exciting opportunity has arisen for a degree-qualified Materials Engineer / Metallurgist to join a specialist technical team supporting customers across aerospace, motorsport, defence, medical, energy, nuclear, and advanced engineering sectors.

The Role

* Provide metallurgical and technical support to customers and internal teams.

* Prepare, etch, and assess microstructures.

* Support mechanical, physical, and chemical testing activities.

* Handle chemicals safely in accordance with COSHH regulations.

* Assist with laboratory activities and customer training sessions.

Requirements

* BEng/BSc in Metallurgy, Materials Science, or a related discipline.

* Knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy.

* Experience with metallography, microstructure analysis, and laboratory testing.

* Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Benefits

✔ Salary up to £45,000 per annum
✔ Monday to Thursday: 07:00 – 16:00
✔ Friday: 07:00 – 15:30 (37 hours per week)
✔ No weekend working
✔ Christmas shutdown
✔ 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays

✔ Sick pay after probation
✔ Uniform and safety boots provided
