A growing Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality consultancy is looking to appoint a SHEQ Advisor to support a diverse portfolio of clients across the Midlands area - Northampton to Nottingham. This is an excellent opportunity for a practical, relationship-focused Health & Safety professional who enjoys working closely with clients rather than delivering “tick-box” compliance.

The Role

This is a home-based position with regular travel across the Midlands. The successful candidate will work closely with a range of clients across construction, manufacturing, utilities, education and engineering environments.

You’ll provide competent and commercially practical SHEQ support, helping clients improve compliance, safety culture and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities
Acting as a trusted SHEQ advisor across multiple client sites
Conducting site inspections and audits
Producing and reviewing RAMS and risk assessments
Supporting Construction Phase Plans and CDM-related activities
Delivering practical H&S guidance via phone, email and site visits
Developing policies, procedures, toolbox talks and training materials
Supporting management systems implementation and continual improvement
Working with digital safety management systems and audit toolsAbout You

The ideal candidate will be adaptable, personable and able to communicate effectively with both operational teams and senior stakeholders.

Essential Requirements
Minimum 2 years’ UK Health & Safety experience
Strong construction sector background
Level 3 Health & Safety qualification or equivalent
Experience with CDM, risk assessments and H&S compliance
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Comfortable managing a remote workload independently
Full UK driving licence and own vehicle for business useDesirable Experience
Multi-site or consultancy experience
Exposure to manufacturing, utilities, education or engineering sectors
Additional construction or CDM qualificationsWhat’s on Offer
Salary: £34,000–£38,000 DOE
