Salary: Temp = £25-30ph Perm= £50k plush £5 shift allowance
Hours: Continental Shift Pattern of days and nights
Are you an experienced Shift Engineer looking for a permanent opportunity within a prestigious corporate environment? A leading company is seeking a skilled and reliable Shift Engineer to support planned and reactive maintenance across a high-profile site.
As a Shift Engineer, you will:
* Carry out reactive maintenance across electrical and building services systems, ensuring issues are resolved safely and efficiently.
* Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks, particularly during night shifts.
* Carry out regular inspections and checks on FCUs and associated mechanical/electrical systems.
* Diagnose faults, complete repairs, and minimise equipment downtime.
* Ensure all maintenance activities are completed in line with health & safety procedures and site compliance standards.
* Complete maintenance records, reports, and job sheets accurately.
* Support the smooth operation of critical building services across the site.
* Work closely with clients, contractors, and site teams, providing excellent customer service at all times.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Previous experience working as a Shift Technician, Mechanical Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, or similar role within a commercial building environment.
* NVQ Level 3 Mechanical qualification (essential).
* Strong knowledge of electrical systems and building services maintenance.
* Experience carrying out reactive maintenance and PPM tasks.
* Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication skills with a professional, client-facing approach.
* Good understanding of health & safety and compliance requirements
