Our client, a leading provider of technical building maintenance services, is seeking an experienced Electrical Bias Shift Engineer to join the team at a prestigious commercial site in King's Cross.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a modern, high-specification environment, supporting the operation and maintenance of critical building systems while delivering first-class engineering services.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on electrical systems and associated plant.
* Diagnose faults and carry out repairs to minimise downtime and maintain operational performance.
* Support mechanical and building services equipment where required as part of a multi-skilled team.
* Monitor building systems and respond promptly to alarms and incidents.
* Complete maintenance records, permits, and reports using the site's maintenance management system.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures, statutory regulations, and industry best practices.
* Liaise with subcontractors and colleagues to ensure all works are completed to a high standard.
Requirements
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
* Previous experience in commercial building maintenance or a similar environment.
* Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
* Familiarity with LV distribution, lighting systems, emergency lighting, UPS, generators, and general building services.
* Excellent communication skills and a professional approach
