CDS Labour are currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Registered Manager to lead our clients Supported Accommodation Service for young people aged 16–17 years old.
The service is committed to providing high-quality supported accommodation services that empower young people to develop the skills, confidence, and resilience required for independent living. We are passionate about creating safe, nurturing environments where young people can thrive and achieve positive outcomes.
As a Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the leadership, management, and development of the service, ensuring that young people receive outstanding support in a safe, structured, and nurturing environment.
You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the Supported Accommodation (England) Regulations 2023 and Ofsted requirements, while promoting a positive, child-centred culture focused on safeguarding, independence, and wellbeing.

The Role of Registered Mnager of Supported Accommodation:
•Lead and manage the day-to-day operation of the supported accommodation service.
•Safeguard and promote the welfare of young people at all times.
•Develop, implement, and regularly review support plans, placement plans, and risk assessments.
•Provide effective leadership, direction, and management to the staff team.
•Recruit, supervise, mentor, and develop staff through induction, training, and performance management processes.
•Ensure safeguarding concerns and incidents are managed, recorded, and reported appropriately.
•Maintain accurate records and ensure all documentation meets regulatory and organisational standards.
•Build and maintain positive working relationships with local authorities, placing authorities, and partner agencies.
•Monitor service performance through audits, quality assurance processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
•Ensure the service operates in line with its Statement of Purpose.
•Create and maintain a positive environment that promotes safety, stability, emotional wellbeing, and independence.
•Lead by example, demonstrating professional practice and promoting therapeutic approaches to support young people.
What we need from you:
•Significant experience working with looked-after children, care leavers, or vulnerable young people.
•Previous management or leadership experience within supported accommodation, children's services, residential care, or a related setting.
•Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, risk assessment, and risk management practices.
•Thorough understanding of the Supported Accommodation (England) Regulations 2023 and relevant legislation.
•Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
•Ability to build positive relationships with young people, staff, professionals, and external stakeholders.
•Experience managing staff performance, supervision, and development.
•Strong report writing, record-keeping, and administrative skills.
•Commitment to promoting positive outcomes and independence for young people.
Desirable Requirements:
•Relevant Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards).
•Experience working within an Ofsted-regulated environment.
•Knowledge of trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches.
