Location: Aylesbury
Start: September 2026
Full Time: Temporary to Permanent
Salary: £29,344–£44,919
Targeted support drives progress.
Intervention builds confidence.
As an SEN Intervention Teacher, you will work with small groups of students needing additional academic support.
Key responsibilities
Deliver targeted intervention sessions
Support literacy and numeracy development
Work with SEN pupils in small groups
Track and monitor progress
Adapt teaching to individual needs
Collaborate with teaching staff
The classroom environment
Small group focused
Structured sessions
Calm and supportive
Clear learning goals
Skills and experience
Experience with SEN or intervention
Strong subject knowledge (English/Maths desirable)
Organisation and planning
Clear communication
What success looks like
Gaps in learning close
Confidence improves
Students re-engage
Progress increases
QTS is desirable; intervention experience highly valued
