£460 - £500 per week (salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications)

The School and Role

Vision for Education is recruiting a SEND Teaching Assistant to work on a full-time basis at a Primary School in Newbiggin (NE64) from September 2026. The SEND Teaching Assistant appointed for the position will be working in an Alternative Provision within school, which is designed to support around 8 pupils with SEND. The school is willing to provide training to support the appointed TA, but some background in working with SEND pupils would be desirable. This is a ‘Good’ Primary School, where staff are committed to supporting each child and using adaptive strategies to meet children’s needs.

Requirements

The desired SEND Teaching Assistant will have;

- Experience of working with primary school aged children

- Experience of working with pupils with SEND

- A passion for the progress of primary school pupils

- An ability to work as part of a team
