Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner
Location: Essex
Salary: Dependent on experience 30k-50k
Job Type: Permanent
Apex Recruit is looking for an experienced Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner to work with a well-established care provider supporting adults with learning disabilities across Essex.
You will work alongside care teams to improve outcomes, promote person-cententred support and help reduce restrictive practices.
Main Responsibilities
* Support the development and review of Positive Behaviour Support Plans.
* Assist with Functional Behaviour Assessments.
* Provide guidance, coaching and practical support to care teams.
* Deliver training and encourage reflective practice.
* Work closely with families, colleagues and external professionals.
* Help services improve quality-of-life outcomes for the people they support.
* Ensure practice follows current legislation, guidance and organisational procedures.
Essential Requirements
* A recognised Positive Behaviour Support qualification.
* At least one year of experience in a PBS Practitioner, PBS Coach or similar role.
* Experience delivering training or coaching to staff teams.
* Strong written, verbal and analytical skills.
* Ability to work independently and travel between services.
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Relevant health and social care, management or training qualifications would be an advantage.
