Responsibilities
* Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, 7:00am–5:30pm
*
Overtime: Potential Friday and Saturday overtime available at 1.5x hourly rate as production demands increase.
* Prepare surfaces for painting through sanding, cleaning, degreasing, and other preparation techniques
* Accurately mask vehicles and components to ensure high-quality finishes
* Apply etching primer to aluminium bodies and components
* Use wet-on-wet undercoat systems and two-pack topcoat finishes to required standards
* Prime and paint metal components consistently and efficiently
* Carry out all painting activities while maintaining quality standards and production targets
* Clean and maintain spray guns, paint equipment, and spray booths
* Follow PPE requirements and maintain a safe, clean, and organised work area at all times
Requirements
* Previous experience in vehicle painting, industrial painting, coachbuilding, commercial vehicle painting, or a manufacturing paint shop
* Experience using two-pack paint systems
* Confident operating spray guns and working within spray booths
* Strong surface preparation and masking skills
* Knowledge of primers, undercoats, and topcoat applications
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality finishes
