Salary: £150 - £235 per day (depending on role, experience, and responsibilities)

About the Role
Connex Education is currently recruiting passionate and dedicated SEND & SEMH Teachers to work across a variety of specialist educational settings throughout Bristol.
We have a wide range of opportunities available, including day-to-day flexible supply, short-term placements, and long-term full teaching responsibilities. These roles offer the chance to work within specialist settings supporting pupils with a range of additional needs including SEMH, ASD, SLD, MLD, communication needs and complex learning difficulties.
Whether you are an experienced SEND teacher or a mainstream teacher looking to transition into specialist education, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact within supportive and rewarding school environments.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to individual pupil needs
Support pupils with SEND and SEMH needs to achieve both academically and personally
Create a positive, structured and nurturing classroom environment
Use creative and adaptable teaching strategies to support engagement and progress
Manage behaviour positively and consistently in line with school policies
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, pastoral teams and parents/carers
Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing feedback and adapting support where required
What We’re Looking For
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) preferred, although relevant SEND teaching experience will also be considered
Experience working with pupils with SEND, SEMH, ASD, SLD, or additional learning needs
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
A calm, resilient and adaptable approach
Passion for supporting vulnerable children and young people
Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one through Connex Education
Right to work in the UK
