Forklift and Production Operative

Forklift Operator / Warehouse Operative

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:45 PM

Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent

Role Purpose

To safely operate forklifts to unload incoming deliveries (approx. 6 lorries per day), while supporting warehouse production and operational activities throughout the shift.

Key Responsibilities

Forklift Operations

Unload up to 6 lorries daily
Ensure all goods are handled safely and efficiently
Accurately check deliveries against paperwork
Report any damages, shortages, or discrepancies immediately
Store stock in designated warehouse locationsWarehouse Production Support

Support production operations outside of unloading times
Picking, packing, and preparing goods for dispatch
Assisting with labelling, assembly, or processing tasks
Helping maintain productivity across the warehouse General Warehouse Duties

Maintain a clean and organised working environment
Follow all health & safety regulations
Perform daily forklift checks and report any issues
Assist with stock counts and inventory control
Work collaboratively with the wider team

Skills & Requirements

Valid Forklift Licence (Counterbalance and/or Reach preferred)
Previous experience in a warehouse environment
Good understanding of health & safety
Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
Flexible approach to work and tasks
