Cnc Setter Operator

Established sheet metal manufacturing company based in Redditch are currently looking for a CNC Setter/Operator to join their growing engineering team.

Previous experience in setting and operating 3-Axis Hurco CNC milling machines is essential to fulfil the role of CNC Setter/Operator. Within this role you will be offered free car parking, competitive rates of pay and an early finish on Friday’s. Offered on a temporary to permanent role, this position of CNC Setter/Operator is available for immediate start.

Duties of CNC Setter/Operator:

* Set up and operate 3-axis Hurco CNC milling machines

* Load, prove and run programs (Hurco conversational and/or G-code)

* Set tools, work offsets and fixtures

* Read and work from engineering drawings

* Carry out first-off inspections and in-process checks

* Adjust offsets and tooling to maintain tolerances

* Produce parts to a high quality and consistent standard

* Identify and report any machining or quality issues

* Ensure all work is carried out safely and to company procedures

Skills and attributes required by CNC Setter/Operator:

* Previous experience in setting and operating 3-axis Hurco CNC milling machine

* Ability to work from drawings

* High attention to detail

Location: Redditch, Worcestershire

Hours of work: 7am-4pm (Monday-Thursday) Friday’s: 7am-1pm

Pay: £15 per hour
