Mechanical Engineer

Job title: Mechanical Technician
Job Type: Contract
Contract Duration – 12 months
Start date: ASAP – depending on security clearance
Pay rate/ Benefits: £37ph Umbrella
Location: Oxford
Hours of work: 40 hours per week , Monday to Friday

Applicants must have experience of the following:
• Able to carry out a variety of mechanical assembly tasks
• Capable of working as part of a multi-disciplinary team
• Good problem-solving skills
• Able to produce simple engineering drawings or sketches
• Able to support electrical assembly work
• Able to read wiring diagrams
• Experience of using mechanical workshop machinery
• Experience of mechanical assembly tasks
• Understanding of mechanical engineering drawings
• Recognition of electrical (including high voltage) health and safety issues
• Experience of vacuum assemblies and instrumentation
• Experience of MS Office software

UK National Security Vetting Status – All candidates must be able to obtain SC clearance
