My client are a national civil engineering contractor who are currently seeking a Project Manager to join their team, with an immediate start available. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a major civil engineering project, with marine experience preferred, although candidates with a strong general civils background will also be considered.
The role operates on a 12 days on, 2 days off rotation, working 7:00am – 7:00pm shifts. Tier One contractor experience is highly desirable, however candidates with experience working for reputable civil engineering subcontractors will also be considered.
Transport support is available, with collection from the airport or ferry terminal provided, and site vehicles available for use throughout the project.
Project Manager Responsibilities:
* Toolbox talks
* Client liaison
* Stakeholder liaison
* Health and safety compliance
* Programming and project planning
* Managing project budgets and resource allocation
* Leading Site Agents, Engineers, Supervisors, and subcontractors
* Chairing client and progress meetings
* Ensuring works are delivered on programme, within budget, and to specification
* Managing project documentation, reporting, risk, and commercial updates
* Overseeing quality control and ensuring contractual obligations are achieved
Project Manager Requirements:
* Black CSCS
* SMSTS
* Previous experience delivering marine or major civil engineering projects
* Marine experience preferred, however a strong general civils background will also be considered
* Tier One contractor experience preferred, although strong subcontractor experience will also be considered
* Strong leadership and programme management skills
* IT literate
* Full UK driving licence
