The Opportunity
An established and well-regarded construction contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager / Project Manager to join its growing operational team.
This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of the successful delivery of construction projects from pre-construction through to completion. Working across a varied portfolio of schemes, you will be responsible for managing programmes, budgets, quality, health & safety, and stakeholder relationships to ensure projects are delivered to the highest standards.
The successful candidate will join a business with a strong pipeline of work, an excellent reputation within the industry, and a commitment to investing in its people and long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities
Take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of construction projects from inception through to handover
Manage project programmes, ensuring key milestones and deadlines are achieved
Lead site teams and coordinate internal departments to drive project performance
Monitor project budgets, costs, and commercial performance alongside the commercial team
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and key stakeholders
Identify and manage project risks, implementing solutions to minimise delays and cost impacts
Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with contractual requirements and company procedures
Drive quality standards throughout the project lifecycle and oversee successful project handover
Ensure compliance with all health & safety legislation, company policies, and industry best practice
Provide leadership, mentoring, and support to site-based teams where required
Experience:
Proven experience as a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager within a main contractor environment
Track record of successfully delivering construction projects from start to finish
Experience working across sectors such as commercial, healthcare, education, residential, industrial, or refurbishment
Strong leadership and team management capabilities
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Good commercial awareness and understanding of construction contracts
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and build long-term professional relationships
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to perform under pressure
Qualifications

SMSTS
CSCS Card
First Aid at Work
Desirable
Professional membership (CIOB, RICS, or equivalent)
Degree or HNC/HND in a construction-related discipline Relevant construction-related qualification or equivalent experience
