Service Service is recruiting for a Mechanical Design Engineer on behalf of a well-established engineering business in Norwich. This is a hands-on role focused on delivering mechanical design solutions across a range of technically challenging projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Produce mechanical designs, assembly drawings, and detailed engineering documentation
* Develop solutions involving mechanical structures, rotating drives, and control systems
* Modify and maintain existing designs, datasheets, and technical documentation
* Identify and resolve technical challenges to ensure projects are delivered on time
* Collaborate with production, project management, and supply chain teams
* Attend design reviews and produce technical reports
About You
* HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
* Proven experience in a mechanical design engineering role
* Strong experience producing complex engineering drawings and 3D models
* Proficient in Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD
* Knowledge of working to industry standards and regulations
* Confident communicator with the ability to work across teams and with stakeholders
