Pay: £14.30 – £16.00 per hour (depending on experience)

We are working in partnership with a very special SEND school; a highly regarded specialist setting in West Suffolk, to recruit a compassionate and committed SEND Learning Support Specialist to support pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and complex additional needs.
This is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant or support worker who is passionate about inclusive education and understands the importance of consistency, empathy and high‑quality support.
Your role
As a SEND Learning Support Specialist, you will:
Provide 1:1 and small‑group support to pupils with SLD, PMLD and complex needs
Support students with communication, sensory and emotional regulation
Assist with personal care and physical support where required
Work closely with teachers, therapists and pastoral teams
Help create a safe, structured and nurturing learning environment
Encourage independence, confidence and engagement through creative learning strategies
Who we’re looking for

Experience working with SEND, SLD, PMLD or complex needs
A background in education, care, support work or psychology
A calm, patient and resilient approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
The ability to build trusting relationships with pupils who need consistency
Relevant experience includes:
SEN Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, SEND support worker, care assistant, behaviour support, youth work or school‑based support roles.
