The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and early childhood education to children in our nursery setting. Duties
Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development in line with early childhood education standards.
Supervise and support children's daily routines, including play, meal times, rest periods, and outdoor activities.
Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times by adhering to health and safety regulations.
Maintain accurate records of children's progress and behaviour, reporting any concerns to senior staff or parents as appropriate.
Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and teamwork.
Manage classroom resources efficiently, ensuring a clean and organised environment conducive to learning.
Support the induction and mentoring of new staff or interns as required.
Contribute to the ongoing development of nursery policies and procedures in collaboration with management.Experience
Previous experience working within a nursery or early childhood education setting is essential.
A background in Montessori, Forest School or similar approaches is desirable
Demonstrable management or leadership skills within a childcare environment are highly desirable.
Proven ability to work effectively with children of various ages, demonstrating patience, creativity, and enthusiasm.
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to liaise effectively with children, parents, and team members.
Experience in childcare or nursery management roles is advantageous.
Valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving travel between multiple nursery sites or community engagement activities.
