Duties
Lead and supervise nursery staff, providing guidance and support to ensure effective team performance
Develop and implement educational programmes that promote early childhood development in line with best practices
Oversee daily nursery operations, including enrolment, attendance, and health & safety protocols
Maintain strong communication with parents and carers to keep them informed about their children's progress and nursery activities
Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, standards, and policies governing childcare services
Manage budgets, resources, and supplies efficiently to support smooth nursery functioning
Organise staff rotas, training sessions, and professional development opportunities
Foster an inclusive, welcoming environment that supports the wellbeing of children and staff alike
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of care providedExperience
Proven management experience within a nursery or early childhood education setting
Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
Extensive experience working directly with children in childcare or educational environments
Strong understanding of childcare regulations, health & safety standards, and early childhood curriculum frameworks
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
Ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, staff, and external agencies
Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting resources or attending external meetings or eventsThis role is suitable for a proactive professional passionate about early childhood education who is committed to delivering high-quality childcare services.
