Salary: £60,000 - £65,000
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week

Overview:
First Military Recruitment is proudly working in partnership with a fantastic national construction business who are looking to recruit a Works Manager on a permanent basis due to growth based at their Cumbria depot.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Take overall responsibility for the safe delivery and performance of site operations on major projects
Lead and coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to meet programme and production targets
Ensure all works are delivered in line with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards
Plan and manage materials, plant, and equipment across the site
Carry out regular site inspections and ensure compliance with method statements and risk assessments
Support project planning activities including work programmes and method statements
Lead toolbox talks, task briefings, and promote safe systems of work
Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and performance
Collaborate with project teams to support delivery, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives
Support investigations and close out of incidents, near misses, and safety concerns
Skills and Experience:
Proven experience in a Works Manager or similar role within civil engineering, infrastructure, rail, or major construction projects
Strong knowledge of site operations, project delivery, and construction methods
SMSTS and CSCS certification
Solid understanding of Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards
Ability to lead teams and drive performance on site
Experience working collaboratively with project teams and stakeholders
