Works Manager - Major Nuclear Infrastructure Project
Location: Cumbria (CA20)
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Works Manager to join a major new nuclear infrastructure project in Cumbria at the very beginning of its lifecycle. Supported by a secure 9-year framework and backed by one of the industry's leading construction teams, this role offers the chance to play a key part in the successful delivery of a nationally significant project while benefiting from long-term stability and excellent career progression opportunities.
This position would suit a Works Manager, Construction Manager, Senior General Foreman, Site Manager or similar construction leader with experience in civil engineering, infrastructure, energy, utilities, rail, nuclear or major construction projects.
Key responsibilities:
Lead, mentor and manage Site Supervision Teams
Coordinate site activities to achieve programme milestones and production targets
Drive collaboration between project teams, subcontractors, suppliers and client representatives
Support the production and delivery of construction programmes and method statements
Monitor site progress, identify risks and implement corrective actions where required
Support project reporting and handover documentation
Champion Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality standards across all site activities
Lead site inspections, audits and compliance reviews
Ensure all personnel are briefed on safe systems of work, toolbox talks and task-specific requirements
Investigate incidents, close calls and unsafe conditions, driving continuous improvement throughout the project
Collaborate closely with Project Managers and HSQE teams to achieve project objectives and maintain complianceIn return you'll receive a salary up to £60,000 - £65,000, permanent position, day shifts only, 40-hour working week, long-term job security on a 9-year framework, career progression opportunities, involvement in a brand-new nuclear development, and a strong pipeline of future work.
