Enterprise Architect - SC Cleared

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to support the evolution of a complex core cloud platform within a major UK government environment.

The role will provide strategic and technical leadership across cloud architecture, platform design and live service delivery. You will work with senior stakeholders, technical teams and delivery leads to shape architecture decisions, define target-state designs and ensure that new platform capabilities are scalable, secure and aligned with wider organisational strategy.

This role requires a strong understanding of AWS, complex cloud platform environments and enterprise architecture, alongside the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Due to the nature of the roles, active SC clearance is required.

Key responsibilities

Define and maintain enterprise and platform architecture for a large-scale AWS environment.
Develop target-state architecture, roadmaps and transition plans.
Provide architectural leadership for new cloud platform capabilities and services.
Ensure designs are scalable, resilient, secure and suitable for live service operation.
Work with engineering teams to translate strategic architecture into practical delivery plans.
Support governance forums, design reviews and technical assurance activity.Essential experience

Active SC clearance
Significant experience working as an Enterprise Architect, Lead Architect or Principal Cloud Architect.
Deep knowledge of AWS architecture and cloud platform services.
Experience designing and building complex enterprise-scale cloud platforms.
Strong understanding of live service environments and operational resilience.
Experience developing architecture strategies, roadmaps and target operating models
