Role: Part-Time HLTA

Location: Wakefield (WF4)

Contract Type: Temporary – Part time

Start Date: September 2026

End Date: April 2027

Trust Education are recruiting on behalf of a primary village school in the WF4 area for a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA). This is a part-time role, starting in September 2026 until Easter 2027, offering a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive Key Stage 2 team supporting Year 3 and Year 4 pupils.

The Role:

* Supporting teaching and learning across Year 3 and Year 4 during all classroom sessions

* Planning, preparing, and delivering targeted intervention work to support pupil progress

* Providing occasional class cover where required across Key Stage 2

* Working closely with teaching staff to deliver engaging and effective support sessions

* Creating a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment

* Supporting pupils of all abilities and learning needs to achieve their potential

* Working collaboratively with staff, pupils and parents to support positive outcomes

The Ideal Candidate Will:

* Hold a minimum HLTA status or have relevant experience within a similar role (ECTs ideal)

* Have experience working within Key Stage 2, ideally Year 3 and Year 4

* Be confident delivering intervention programmes and small group support

* Demonstrate strong classroom management and communication skills

* Be reliable, organised, and able to work effectively as part of a team

* Have a proactive and positive approach to supporting teaching and learning

* Be flexible and confident providing class cover when required
