Junior CAD Technician

Join our growing team as a Junior CAD Technician and help deliver our customers with bespoke packaging solution!

This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring Junior CAD Technician looking to build their career within the packaging industry. You’ll play a key role in supporting the production of technical drawings and packaging design specifications, working closely with internal teams and customers to deliver accurate CAD artwork and structural designs that support product development.

Please note that this role is a fixed term contract role for a 12 month period

About the Role• Produce and update CAD drawings and technical plans

• Testing and imputing results on our systems

• Assist senior designers with refining bespoke packaging orders

• Ensure drawings meet project specifications and industry standards

• Maintain accurate drawing records and revision control

• Drawing basic packaging designs and supporting the team with more complex designs

• Collaborate with project teams to meet deadlines

• Conduct basic measurements, calculations and site visits when required

• Follow company CAD standards and health & safety regulations

• Provide general technical and administrative project support

Requirements

• Experience in CAD software – beneficial not essential.

• An understanding of technical drawings

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Competent IT skills including Microsoft Office & Adobe suit

• Team player with a proactive approach to learning

• Basic understanding of packaging materials and manufacturing processes
