MTrec Recruitment are proudly representing our industry-leading, manufacturing client, in their search for an experienced Maintenance Technician.

The Job you will do:

* Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and respond to equipment breakdowns across plant, facilities, and utilities.

* Diagnose faults, troubleshoot issues, and perform repairs on mechanical, electrical, and process equipment.

* Calibrate and test plant equipment, alarms, and instrumentation in line with CMMS schedules, manufacturer recommendations, and regulatory requirements.

* Maintain accurate maintenance records and close out work orders using the CMMS.

* Monitor plant performance using systems such as BMS and identify opportunities to improve reliability and efficiency.

* Manage spare parts inventory to support operational continuity.

* Coordinate and supervise maintenance contractors, ensuring work is completed safely and to the required standard.

* Administer permit-to-work systems, including LOTO, hot work, and general maintenance permits.

* Plan and coordinate equipment shutdowns in conjunction with management and production teams.

* Perform general facility maintenance, housekeeping, and upkeep of plant services, including wastewater treatment systems where applicable.

* Participate in on-call and out-of-hours support as required for critical plant issues.

* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing plant reliability, safety, and operational performance.

About you:

* You will be a time-served maintenance technician with proven experience within manufacturing/ engineering.

* Ideally, you will be multiskilled in bias and capable of working on a range of electrical and mechanical systems.

* Ability to interact with suppliers, internal customers and external contractors.

* Results-driven

* Continuous Improvement mindset

* Excellent problem solving & analytical ability

* Compliance focused

* Ability to demonstrate good computer skills

* Good team player who can use their initiative
