COMPANY DESCRIPTION, PROFILE AND SCOPE OF ROLE
Our client is a world-class manufacturer and UK market leader in advanced building envelope systems. Established for over 40 years, this employee-owned business combines a value-driven culture with sustained investment in people and technology. Based at their technical hub, near Tadcaster —a centre of excellence for research and bespoke fabrication—they specialise in technologically advanced designs for the UK’s most ambitious construction projects. Due to continued growth, they are recruiting an experienced Mechanically Biased Maintenance Technician to produce precision components and full-scale prototypes. This is a unique opportunity to join a team where every employee is a stakeholder in their collective success.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
* Operational Continuity: Execute comprehensive planned and reactive maintenance strategies across complex plant assets and multi-site facilities.
* Technical Diagnosis: Utilise schematics and data reports to identify root causes of equipment failure, implementing robust solutions to minimise downtime.
* Systems Optimisation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to recommend design modifications and refine operating procedures for enhanced machine reliability.
* Safety & Compliance: Manage service schedules and material procurement while upholding the highest standards of site-wide safety protocols.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES
* Qualified to (ONC/HNC level) in a relevant Engineering discipline, with strong mechanical knowledge.
* Experience with fluid power systems (hydraulics/pneumatics) would be advantageous
* Competency in operating conventional workshop machinery and a comfortable approach to working at height.
* A proactive professional capable of managing deadlines and coordinating resources independently Attributes:
* A solution-focused "can-do" attitude with a deep commitment to Quality and Health & Safety.
* Some basic electrical knowledge would be advantageous, but not essential.

Circa £38,0000 + Bonus (circa £40,000 inc. bonus) + Benefits / Day Shift: 38 hrs. Monday to Thursday 8.00am – 4.00pm / Friday 8.00am – 2.00pm / 25 days Paid holiday + Bank Holidays
