Senior Aviation Engineer

Shape the future of airport infrastructure on projects that keep the UK moving.

If you're finding yourself delivering the same designs, on the same projects, for the same clients, this could be the opportunity that reignites your enthusiasm for aviation engineering.

You'll join a specialist team delivering major airport infrastructure projects across the UK, giving you the chance to work on a diverse range of airside and landside developments, influence project outcomes and develop your career within a growing aviation business.

Whether you're motivated by technically challenging projects, greater responsibility, or the opportunity to work alongside recognised industry experts, this role offers the platform to take the next step.

What's in it for you?

Work on high-profile airport infrastructure projects across the UK
Exposure to runway, taxiway, apron and wider airfield developments
Hybrid and flexible working arrangements designed around you
The opportunity to influence project delivery from concept through to construction
Clear progression opportunities within a growing aviation team
Collaborate with multidisciplinary specialists across infrastructure, transportation and aviation sectors
Professional development and support towards further qualifications and career progression

The Role

As a Senior Aviation Engineer, you'll play a key role in the design and delivery of airport infrastructure projects, helping clients develop and enhance critical aviation assets.

You'll be involved in a broad range of engineering activities including:

Airfield pavement design and assessment
Runway, taxiway and apron infrastructure schemes
Drainage and civil infrastructure design
Feasibility studies and technical reports
Design development and detailed engineering
Technical reviews and quality assurance
Client engagement and stakeholder management
Supporting junior engineers and contributing to project delivery
You'll work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver practical, innovative and sustainable engineering solutions that support the future growth of UK aviation.

About You

You'll likely have experience within aviation, airport infrastructure or civil engineering projects and enjoy solving complex engineering challenges.

Your background may include:

Aviation, airport or airfield infrastructure design
Civil engineering design within transportation or infrastructure sectors
Pavement engineering, drainage or highways design
Working knowledge of relevant aviation standards and regulations
Experience using industry-standard design software such as Civil 3D, AutoCAD or similar
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
A desire to develop your career within a specialist aviation engineering environment
Most importantly, you'll be someone who enjoys taking ownership of projects, collaborating with others and delivering quality engineering solutions.

Why Consider This Opportunity?

Many engineering roles promise exciting projects. Few can offer the opportunity to contribute directly to infrastructure that supports millions of passengers every year.

You'll be joining a team with a strong project pipeline, long-term investment and a genuine commitment to developing its people. That means access to interesting work, supportive leadership and opportunities to progress your career without needing to move elsewhere to find your next challenge.

Interested?

Whether you're actively looking for a new position or simply curious about what opportunities are available in the aviation sector, we'd be happy to have a confidential conversation.

Apply today or get in touch for an informal discussion to learn more.

Ganymede is committed to creating a diverse workforce and is an equal opportunities employer.
