Location: Remote (UK) with occasional travel
Contract: 6-Month Rolling Contract
Start Date: ASAP
Day Rate: £470 per day (Inside IR35)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer to join a high-profile public sector programme. This is a remote-first contract with occasional travel required for team meetings and stakeholder engagement. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable cloud-based applications, working across both frontend and backend technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications in a cloud-native environment.
Build responsive and user-friendly frontend solutions using JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
Develop and integrate backend services and APIs.
Work within AWS environments, leveraging cloud services to deliver scalable and secure solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, architects, product owners, and stakeholders.
Contribute to solution design, code reviews, testing, and deployment activities.
Ensure applications meet security, performance, and accessibility standards.
Support Agile delivery practices and continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Skills & Experience

Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer.
Strong commercial experience with AWS cloud services.
Solid frontend development experience using JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
Knowledge of modern software development practices, including CI/CD and version control.
Experience working in Agile environments.
Previous Public Sector project experience.

Desirable Skills

Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.
Knowledge of serverless architectures and cloud-native development.
Familiarity with DevOps practices and infrastructure as code.
Experience working on government or regulated industry programmes.

Security Requirements

Candidates must be eligible to obtain and hold BPSS clearance
