Create a structured, nurturing, and positive classroom environment
Differentiate learning to ensure every student can access the curriculum and make progress
Work closely with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, therapists, and pastoral teams
Contribute towards EHCP targets and individual student outcomes
Celebrate progress in all forms, building confidence, resilience, and independence
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
Has strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature
Can adapt lessons to support a wide range of learning profiles
Demonstrates excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
Has a patient, consistent, and nurturing approach
Is creative, flexible, and committed to inclusive education
Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or is willing to obtain onePrevious SEN experience is welcomed but not essential. Applications are encouraged from mainstream teachers looking to develop their career within specialist education.
