SEN English Teacher - Enfield

We are working with a highly supportive SEN school in Enfield that is seeking a committed and adaptable English Teacher to join their team from September, teaching KS3-KS4.
This is a rewarding opportunity to teach English in a specialist environment where learning is personalised, progress is individual, and success is measured in confidence, engagement, and achievement as well as academics.
You will be joining a collaborative and experienced staff team who are passionate about removing barriers to learning and supporting every young person to reach their potential.
The Role
Teaching English to KS3 and KS4 pupils with a range of SEN needs
Planning and delivering accessible, engaging lessons tailored to individual learning levels
Supporting students with Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, and additional learning needs
Creating a calm, structured, and positive classroom environment
Differentiating work to ensure all learners can access and progress
Working closely with TAs, SENCOs, and pastoral staff
Contributing to EHCP targets and tracking pupil progress
The Ideal Candidate
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature
Ability to adapt teaching to meet a wide range of learning needs
Calm, consistent classroom presence with strong behaviour management
Creative and flexible approach to lesson planning and delivery
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to applySEN experience is welcome but not essential. The school is open to mainstream teachers who are looking to transition into specialist education.
