Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Music to join a vibrant and supportive secondary school in Rugby from September 2026. The school is seeking an enthusiastic practitioner who can inspire students through engaging and creative music lessons while promoting a love of music both inside and outside the classroom.
The successful candidate will teach Music across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience and the needs of the school. They will play a key role in developing students' musical skills, creativity, and appreciation of a wide range of musical genres and traditions.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Have a degree in Music or a related subject.
Have experience teaching Music within a secondary school setting.
Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and a passion for music education.
Be able to teach practical and theoretical aspects of the Music curriculum effectively.
Have the ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
Possess excellent classroom management and communication skills.
Be willing to contribute to extracurricular activities, including choirs, ensembles, concerts, and school productions.
Have a commitment to high standards of teaching, learning, and student achievement.
Work collaboratively with colleagues and demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development.
