Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Preston from September.
This is a full-time role, working 6.5 hours per day, providing 1:1 support to a pupil within Key Stage 2 (KS2). The successful candidate will play a vital role in helping the child access learning, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential within the classroom environment.
The Role:
Full-time position, Monday to Friday
September start
Providing 1:1 support for a KS2 pupil with additional needs
Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider school team
Supporting academic, social, and emotional development
Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate:
Holds a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable)
Has previous experience working within a school setting (desirable)
Has proven SEN experience and a strong understanding of supporting children with additional needs
Is patient, caring, and adaptable
Has excellent communication and teamwork skills
Is committed to helping pupils succeed both academically and personally
