We are seeking a Quality Engineer to join a manufacturing business with a strong focus on precision, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement. This is an excellent opportunity for a quality professional with experience in sheet metal, machined parts, and aerospace-related quality standards to play a key role in maintaining and improving quality performance across the business.
Working closely with the UK Quality Manager, you will support the day-to-day quality function by managing non-conformances, customer complaints, audits, FAIRs, and internal quality activities. You will also help develop quality tools, drive root cause analysis and corrective actions, and support the business in maintaining high standards across products, processes, and documentation.
Key responsibilities
Inspect sheet metalwork and machined parts against engineering drawings.
Process non-conformances and customer complaints through to resolution.
Support and host customer and supplier audits.
Carry out internal quality audits and contribute to ongoing quality improvement.
Document and maintain FAIRs in line with customer and business requirements.
Use quality tools to support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Analyse data, identify trends, and present findings clearly to the wider business.
Support the development and writing of SOPs and Work Instructions.
Work with ERP/MRP systems to support accurate quality and production records.
Use inspection and measuring equipment confidently and accurately.
Support the business in maintaining strong ISO 9001 quality management practices.What we’re looking for
Experience in a Quality Engineering role within a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems.
Experience inspecting sheet metalwork and machined parts.
Experience processing non-conformances and customer complaints.
Experience hosting customer and supplier audits.
Familiarity with aerospace sector quality standards is highly desirable.
Experience using ERP/MRP systems.
Experience documenting FAIRs.
Strong understanding of inspection techniques and quality principles.
Ability to use MS Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
ISO 9001 internal auditor qualification is desirable.
Level 3 qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Quality is preferred.
BPSS clearance required.
