We are currently working with a lovely mainstream primary school in Maida Vale (W9) who are looking to appoint SEN Teaching Assistant to support within their ASD provision from September 2026 .
This role involves supporting pupils in Reception and KS1 with complex needs, including pupils with autism and speech and lanuage difficulties, within a structured and specialist setting.
Location: Maida Vale, W9
Start Date: September 2026
Role: SEN Teaching Assistant
Contract: Full‑time, long‑term for one year initially
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30-3:30pm
Pay: £110-£130 per day
Key Responsibilities:
* Support pupils with complex SEN needs within the provision
* Work with children in EYFS and KS1 with autism and complex needs
* Assist with communication, engagement, and daily routines
* Support delivery of structured, sensory-based learning
* Work closely with teachers, therapists, and SEN staff
* Promote inclusion, independence, and emotional regulation
About You:
* Experience working in an SEN school or a specialist provision (essential)
* Strong experience supporting complex needs and autism
* Understanding of communication strategies (PECS, Makaton, sensory approaches)
* Patient, calm, and consistent approach
* Confident working within a specialist environment
