SEN Teaching Assistant
Remedy Education are looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school setting.
This role is ideal for someone with strong SEN experience who is confident supporting pupils with a range of additional needs. You will be working closely with class teachers, the SENCO, and wider support staff to help pupils access learning, manage routines, and feel supported throughout the school day.
The school are looking for someone who has lots of experience supporting children or young people with SEN, including needs such as autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, challenging behaviour, and social, emotional and mental health needs.
Role Details:
Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Pay: £100-£117 per day
Hours: 8:15am-4:00pm
Start Date: ASAP
Location: To be confirmed
The Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Support pupils with a range of special educational needs on a 1:1 and small group basis
* Assist the class teacher with delivering engaging and accessible learning activities
* Help pupils with communication, social interaction, emotional regulation, and behaviour
* Support pupils with daily routines and transitions around the school
* Use your SEN experience to adapt support based on each pupil's individual needs
* Work closely with teachers, therapists, and SEN staff to provide consistent support
* Help create a calm, positive, and inclusive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Strong experience working with children or young people with SEN
* Experience supporting pupils with autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, or challenging behaviour
* A patient, nurturing, and resilient approach
* Confidence working both 1:1 and with small groups
* Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
* A genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs
* Previous experience in a school, SEN provision, PRU, or similar setting
