The Company
We're recruiting on behalf of a successful food manufacturing business with a strong reputation for quality, service and operational excellence. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Logistics Manager to oversee logistics operations across multiple sites.
The Role
As Logistics Manager, you'll take responsibility for the end-to-end flow of goods, ensuring products move efficiently from order receipt through to final delivery. Working across logistics distribution and supply chain functions, you'll coordinate transport, warehousing and distribution activities while driving service, efficiency and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing transport, warehousing and distribution activities
Coordinating inbound and outbound logistics movements
Overseeing stock transfers between sites
Managing relationships with hauliers and 3PL providers
Monitoring live operations and resolving logistics issues
Maintaining logistics schedules and delivery plans
Working closely with production, supply chain and customer service teams
Driving continuous improvement across the logistics function
About You
To be successful, you'll have:
Experience within a logistics management role
Background within food manufacturing, FMCG or a similar busy environment
Strong transport, warehousing and distribution knowledge
Experience using ERP systems, ideally SAP
Excellent communication and organisational skills
A proactive approach with strong problem-solving ability
Knowledge of BRC standards would be highly advantageous.
