Logistics Manager Opportunity with the Civil Works Alliance (CWA), Supporting Sizewell C
As part of the CWA (Civil Works Alliance), you will support the building of Sizewell C. Sizewell C will be a 3.2-gigawatt power station generating low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes and will play a key role in our energy future, supplying reliable, clean electricity for at least 60 years. This role will be within the Logistics & Services Section.
What will you do?
Lead the 4–6 week forecasting and planning process, consolidating inputs from contractors and aligning with project requirements.
Manage delivery slots through the Delivery Management System (DMS), ensuring compliance with vehicle caps, permits, and escort requirements.
Oversee real time operations, including site access, routing compliance, abnormal load movements, and safety protocols.
Produce and maintain logistics trackers (AIL lists, materials, forecasts) and provide weekly reporting dashboards.
Act as the single point of coordination between contractors, police, highways authorities, Network Rail, and internal project teams.
Enforce contractor compliance with logistics procedures, escalating issues where necessary.
Identify risks, bottlenecks, and capacity constraints early and propose practical solutions.
Drive continuous improvement by applying lessons learned, introducing digital tools, and training logistics staff and contractors.

Knowledge & Skills
Proven experience managing logistics on major infrastructure, construction, or industrial projects
Strong understanding of delivery management systems, abnormal load processes, and site logistics
Excellent coordination and stakeholder management skills, able to engage contractors and authorities
Analytical and problem-solving mindset with ability to make decisions under pressure
Familiarity with reporting, forecasting, and compliance monitoring
Clear communicator and natural organiser
Assertive but collaborative approach to contractor management
Strategic thinker with an eye for detail
Calm under pressure and solutions-oriented
