We are looking for an organised, detail-focused Accounts Assistant to join our friendly children’s day nursery group. This is a key finance role supporting four nursery settings and helping to ensure that our day-to-day accounts processes run smoothly and accurately.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing sales and purchase invoices, maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the wider team with accounts administration. Previous experience using SAGE is essential.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage sales invoices across four children’s day nursery settings.

* Process purchase invoices accurately and in a timely manner.

* Use SAGE to maintain financial records and support day-to-day accounts administration.

* Reconcile supplier statements and resolve invoice queries.

* Liaise with nursery managers, suppliers and internal teams regarding accounts matters.

* Maintain organised records and ensure documentation is filed correctly.

* Support credit control, payment tracking and general finance administration as required.

* Assist with month-end processes and provide reports where needed.

About You

* Previous experience in an accounts, finance assistant, bookkeeping or accounts administrator role.

* Confident using SAGE, ideally including sales and purchase ledger processing.

* Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

* Good organisational skills with the ability to manage work across multiple settings.

* Confident communication skills and a professional, approachable manner.

* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and general office systems.

* Experience within a nursery, childcare, education or multi-site environment would be an advantage, but is not essential.

Location: Hybrid, Home Working | Hours: 37.5 hours a week| Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 depending on experience | Contract: Permanent
