An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Scaffolding Estimator to join a successful and expanding scaffolding contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects across multiple sectors.
We're seeking a commercially minded individual who can confidently manage the estimating process from initial enquiry through to tender submission. While the business is based in Norwich, applications are welcomed from candidates across the UK, with the expectation of attending the office once a week.
This role offers far more than just a position within an established business. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to play a key part in the continued growth of the estimating function, with a clear pathway into senior leadership. For the right individual, there is genuine potential to progress into management and, ultimately, director-level positions as the business continues to evolve.
Key Responsibilities
* Produce accurate and competitive estimates for a range of scaffolding projects.
* Analyse tender documentation, drawings, specifications, and client requirements.
* Prepare material, labour, and plant cost calculations.
* Submit quotations and tender returns within required deadlines.
* Liaise with operational teams, suppliers, and clients to ensure all estimates are comprehensive and commercially viable.
* Identify project risks and opportunities to improve cost efficiency.
* Support the wider team in securing and converting new business opportunities.
* Contribute to the future development and growth of the estimating department.
Candidate Requirements
* Proven experience in a Scaffolding Estimator position.
* Strong knowledge of scaffolding products, systems, and industry standards.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and tender information.
* Excellent numerical skills and a keen eye for detail.
* Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant estimating systems.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
* Ambition and a desire to develop into a leadership role over time.
