This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading international business, working within the Technical and Sustainability team to drive food safety excellence across multiple markets. Operating in a hybrid capacity from London, you'll play a key role in shaping global policies, managing surveillance programmes, and ensuring robust standards are maintained across both company-owned and franchise operations. You will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Overseeing food safety audit programmes and ensuring timely closure of non-conformances
• Monitoring food safety KPIs, identifying trends, and driving continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensuring consistent food safety performance across both company-owned and franchised operations
• Supporting the development and delivery of food safety training programmes across the business
• Working closely with technical, safety, and compliance teams to maintain audit readiness and effective due diligence systems
• Keeping abreast of changes in legislation, emerging risks, and industry best practice to support business compliance
• Building strong external networks and maintaining engagement with industry groups and regulatory bodies
• Ensuring all food safety processes and documentation are maintained to the highest standards

What's required?

• Degree qualified in Environmental Health, Food Science, Microbiology, or a related discipline
• Strong understanding of food safety legislation, microbiological risks, contamination control, and food hygiene principles
• Experience managing food safety systems within a multi-site, retail, foodservice, or manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with microbiological, allergen, and chemical surveillance testing programmes
• Ability to assess and manage food safety risks across complex operations
• Advanced food safety qualification, with HACCP Level 4 being highly desirable
• Strong root cause analysis and corrective action experience
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders
• Ability to simplify complex technical requirements for non-technical audiences
• Experience working with, or alongside, regulatory bodies would be advantageous
• A proactive mindset and a passion for driving continuous improvement and best practice

What's in it for you?

A fantastic opportunity to join a globally recognised business where you'll help shape food safety strategy across international markets, working within a collaborative team and influencing standards across a diverse and evolving operation.
