We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated education team and help create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for all students aged between 14-19. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people to achieve their full potential and make a meaningful impact on their educational journey.
Working as part of a highly collaborative team, you will support the delivery of a high-quality curriculum and contribute to improving learner engagement, achievement, and progression outcomes. You will work closely with teaching staff to provide classroom support, encourage student participation, and help ensure every learner receives the guidance and encouragement they need to succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support individual students and small groups to remain focused and complete activities set by the teacher.
* Assist in managing behavioural and additional learning needs in partnership with teaching staff.
* Support the delivery of lesson plans, learning objectives, and classroom activities.
* Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to students to support their learning.
* Deliver defined activities and interventions with small groups of learners.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
* Minimum Level 2 standard in English and Maths.
Desirable:
* Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 2).
* Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) qualification.
* A Levels in English and Maths.
* Level 2 Teaching Qualification (PTTLS or equivalent).
Additional Information
* Salary: £30,000 FTE (£25,500 pro rata)
* Hours: 37 hours per week
* Contract: Full Time, Term Time Only (41 weeks per year)
