Hours: Full-Time, Monday-Friday (Term Time Only)
Location: Mitcham, London Borough of Merton
Contract: Term Time Only
Sanza are seeking a motivated, supportive and dedicated KS2 Teaching Assistant to join a friendly primary school team in Mitcham.
This is a vital role within the school, helping pupils in Years 3-6 to reach their potential - supporting their learning, building their confidence and contributing to a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
The successful candidate will:
Support pupils' learning across the KS2 curriculum under the direction of the class teacher.
Work with individuals and small groups, including targeted interventions for pupils with SEND or additional needs.
Assist with the preparation of resources and classroom displays.
Help monitor and record pupil progress and contribute to assessments.
Promote positive behaviour and support pupils' social and emotional wellbeing.
Liaise with teachers, the SENCO and other staff to ensure pupils receive appropriate support.
Uphold the school's safeguarding policies and maintain a safe learning environment.
The school are looking for someone who:
Has experience of working with primary-age children, ideally at KS2 level.
Is patient, adaptable and able to build positive relationships with pupils.
Holds or is working towards a relevant teaching assistant or education qualification.
Has good literacy and numeracy skills to support curriculum delivery.
Is committed to inclusion, safeguarding and raising outcomes for all pupils.
