An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Engineering Geologist to join a growing team in Chester. Working across a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, infrastructure, and industrial projects throughout the UK, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality ground investigations and providing technical geotechnical solutions.
The Role
As an Engineering Geologist, you will be involved in all stages of ground investigation projects, from planning and supervising site works through to factual reporting and client liaison.
Key responsibilities include:
Supervising and logging boreholes, trial pits, and intrusive ground investigations.
Soil and rock logging in accordance with current industry standards.
Scheduling and managing laboratory testing programmes.
Carrying out site monitoring and data collection.
Preparing factual ground investigation reports.
Liaising with clients, contractors, and project teams.
Ensuring all works are completed safely and in line with company procedures.Requirements
Degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, Geoscience, or a related discipline.
Previous experience within ground investigation or geotechnical consultancy.
Strong understanding of soil and rock logging practices.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Full UK driving licence.
