Manual Machinist - Aerospace Manufacturing
Wild Recruitment is partnering with a leading Aerospace manufacturer to recruit an experienced Manual Machinist. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-performing team in a precision engineering environment.
Contract: Until July 2027
Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate manual machine tools including Jig Bores, lathes, and mills.
Interpret and work from complex engineering drawings and specifications.
Manufacture and rework components to tight tolerances and surface finishes.
Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments (micrometres, verniers, bore gauges, height gauges, DTI's).
Carry out routine machine maintenance and cleaning.
Accurately complete production and quality documentation.
Collaborate with Quality and Manufacturing Engineering teams to ensure compliance with design intent and customer requirements.What We're Looking For
Proven experience as a Manual Machinist / Toolmaker in precision engineering or aerospace.
Skilled in working with various materials and castings.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Familiarity with AS9100 standards (preferred).
Competent in using precision measuring equipment.
Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset.
Flexible, proactive, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering (preferred).Why Join Us?
