Workshop Manager
Location: Bristol
Salary: £53,790 per annum
Hours: 38 Hours per Week | Monday to Friday
Are you an experienced Workshop Manager, Engineering Supervisor, Fleet Maintenance Manager or Workshop Controller looking for your next challenge?
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Workshop Manager to lead a busy engineering operation responsible for maintaining a modern fleet of passenger service vehicles.
Key Responsibilities of the Workshop Manager / Engineering Supervisor / Fleet Maintenance Manager
Manage all workshop operations, maintenance activities and fleet availability
• Plan and monitor vehicle inspections, servicing and repairs
• Lead, motivate and develop engineering teams
• Ensure compliance with DVSA, health & safety and company standards
• Manage workshop productivity, efficiency and quality performance
• Oversee maintenance management systems and engineering records
• Coordinate third-party contractors and external suppliers where required
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across the engineering function
Requirements of the Workshop Manager / Engineering Supervisor / Fleet Maintenance Manager
Experience as a Workshop Manager, Engineering Supervisor
NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in PSV or HGV Maintenance
• Strong understanding of DVSA regulations and fleet compliance requirements
• Experience managing engineering teams within a PSV / HGV, environment
• Excellent leadership, planning and organisational skills
• Full UK Driving Licence required
